He is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Tencent, Asia's most valuable asset and company that runs most their social media and has great investments in gaming and technology. The company controls the Countries biggest instant messaging service "Wechat". China is known to ban many different instant messaging sites and keep many thing within the country, which is how Wechat became so well known and the number one used instant messaging app in China.

In 2018, Time magazine called him one of the "world's most influential people", while in 2015, Forbes credited him as one of the world's most powerful people.

With all of his success he is the 14th richest individual in the world and the number one richest person in China. His net worth is a large 51.1 Billion dollars.

This is outstanding because he started off making a mere salary of $176 a month developing software for pagers.
